About Ashley B Artisticworks
Our story
Ashley and Teran Bergeron are two creatives who fell in love and have been a team for 15 years. Their journey together has blossomed into a shared vision to spread the joy of working with clay. Ashley B is a professional artist and potter with an Associate of Arts degree, having studied hand building and other art forms during her college years. Originally, she aspired to become a high school art teacher. However, everything changed when Teran surprised her with an ancient, thrifted kiln for Christmas. This thoughtful gift ignited Ashley's passion for creating functional art.
When the world shifted in 2020 and both Ashley and Teran lost their jobs, they turned to pottery full-time. They invested in a wheel and began crafting together, setting up at the Salem Saturday Market every week for the last four years. Teran took on creative roles, including hand building and glaze chemistry, and together they formed a powerful creative force.

We are so blessed to be supported and loved by our community for the last 5 years. When we started this we weren't sure where we were headed but every day we held on strong to the hope that someday we could have a future full of creativity and community.
Our Collection

The collection has evolved as Ashley B finds new inspiration and dives deeper into her passion. The work started as mainly black and white functional sgraffito wares but now includes colorful arrays of sgraffito, mishima, slip paintings of both functional and sculptural nature.
