Our pottery workshops and classes are designed to offer a range of commitment options to fit your needs. Bite-sized classes are two-hour, one-day sessions that provide an introduction to a specific topic, while our 2-8 week courses offer a more in-depth exploration of the craft. Pottery is a lifelong creative journey, and while no course will make you a master overnight, they will provide you with the skills and momentum to begin or continue your artistic path. A pottery workshop grants you an allotted 1'x1' space in our electric kilns. If you need additional space, please consult an instructor for pricing. Workshops include a 25lb bag of clay, and only clay purchased from our studio can be used. By booking a workshop you have agreed to our cancellation policy. Our studio is dedicated to fostering your creativity and helping you flourish. With hands-on experience and personalized guidance, you’ll develop your skills and bring your pottery creations to life. Come create with us!
Members and work shop attendees get a 1’x1’ allotted space in upcoming kiln firings and can pay for additional firings or space if needed.
The readiness of your piece depends on how it was crafted and whether there are any priority firings. On average, it will take 1-2 weeks for your piece to dry. If you've created a particularly thick form, it may require more time to dry and could be moved to the next kiln run.
Firing wet pieces is not an option, as it can result in explosions, so we ensure everything is fully dry before firing. Pottery requires time and patience, and we want to ensure the best results for your work.
Unfortunately, no. We only allow the use of clay purchased from our studio. While this may be inconvenient, it is an important policy to maintain the integrity of our space. Bringing outside clay into the studio could contaminate our clay supply, damage our equipment, and disrupt our kiln firings.
Our clay bodies are specially formulated to work with our glazes and kiln settings. If outside clay is brought in, you will be responsible for any damages, and your studio pass or classes will be revoked without reimbursement.
Unfortunately, no. We only allow the firing of work made in-house. While this may be inconvenient, it is a crucial policy for maintaining the integrity of our space. Kilns are expensive and vital to the operation of our small business. Bringing in outside work could release harmful fumes or cause damage to our kilns, which is a risk we cannot afford to take.
We currently only offer electric kiln firings, but have plans to expand and offer raku and gas firings as well. Stay tuned!
